The biggest independent in the Nordics changes name
On September 1st 2010 the biggest independent music company in the Nordics will change name from Bonnier Amigo Music Group to COSMOS MUSIC GROUP. All local affiliates will change theirnames as well, to Cosmos Music Sweden, Cosmos Music Norway, Cosmos Music Denmark and Cosmos Music Finland respectively.
The new name follows a number of strategic and structural changes that have been implemented at
the region’s leading indie during the past six months. These changes were initiated after the

Kent Gillström and Christian Drougge bought 100% of the company from previous owner Bonnier AB.
The classic Amigo label (originally launched in 1966) will continue as an active inhouse label, while

Carlson & The Moon Ray Quintet, Edith Backlund, John Grant, The Magic Numbers and others.
